The fact that you need detox diet tips means you are on a cleanse right now or planning on starting one. Congrats! It is a very wise choice! I will support you all the way.
So what's the most important thing to do?
Seems obvious. But some people actually buy some detox herbs and while taking them all they do is eat a healthier variety of 'regular' food, like rice and beans. Won't work, guys.
What are food that are clean? Fresh juices and fruits and of course herbs.
I am now on a VERY deep detox. That means that I prepared my body for a long time, then I dug very deep by periodically dry fasting and other than that I only have fruit and herb. It's been great but also crazy. And the stuff that still comes out of me... you wouldn't believe it if I told you - seriously.
Prepare your body! For a long time by eating raw vegan. At least for one whole month.
Dry brushing is great. You can use a towel to do it before a shower when you skin is still dry. Rub your whole body with the towel in circular motions, but don'e get too caught up on exactly how to do it - just do whatever feels good!
You can give yourself a massage when putting on some (natural) cream or lotion after the shower. I do it every day. This will help the detox because it stimulates the lymphatic points in the body that need to take care of the toxins.
Whether it's dry fasting, water fasting or juice fasting - pick a time to fat when you don't have to go to work or do anything that could potentially be stressful; Just relax, read some interesting books or articles, watch YouTube videos by other people who are fasting, think about your purpose and what you want to do in your life, sleep, watch some silly movies or shows and laugh your ass off. Or watch sad ones.
I usually do't watch much TV, BUT when fasting I often watch Long Island Medium and cry my eyes out - it's relaxing somehow and gets my mind off the fasting and at the same time it makes me think about my amazing grandparents and sister and about life and about what I can do to make the most of the time I've got here.
This is a typical day on a 21 day detox cleanse diet that isn't that strict. It consists of mainly fruit and vegetable juice but also some healthy additions of your choice that you feel you can't go without, like nut butters or maybe vegan coconut yogurt (that you typically wouldn't find on a strict detox diet).
It is for people who are just starting out or alternatively for people who want to do this for a long time, possibly even a year! Because in that case you need to be a little more lenient with yourself.
'Early this morning I had lemon water and then apple juice made out of 4 apples and 1/2 a lemon.
Then I had some organic oranges and herbal tea.
An hour later I had two glasses vegetable juice: kale, celery, cucumber, turmeric, ginger and beetroot.
Around noon I had 3 bananas with tahini. Tahini is good and full of calcium but I think I have to take a small break from it now.
I have a headache today. And more mucous but not as much anymore and the redness under the nose is gone.
Now I'm going to lunch with Tanya. I will have a beetroot salad. When I get home I will make some more juice and I might have a smoothie for dinner. Tea in the evening. That's about it for today.'
